Research has been identified as the main creator of knowledge and it plays a crucial role in developing the prosperity of any nation and its citizens, as we are living in an era based on the acquisition of knowledge. (Etzkowitz, Webster, Gebhardt & Terra, 2000). Research creates knowledge and new ideas that improve individual's understanding of many aspects of the life such as society, economy and culture (Abbott & Doucouliagos. 2004).
