Abstract

This monography was aimed at translating the chapter “Spanish in contact with the Amerindian Languages” from the book “The Handbook of Hispanic Linguistics”, and analyzing the problems encountered and the different techniques involved to solve them. Finally, some recommendations about translating texts of this kind to novice translators are provided.
