For centuries translation has played an important role as a means of communication among nations in the world. Translation is an art that has communicative functions. Thanks to translation, people who do not understand a language or even the culture in which the texts are written can have access to those texts. Thus, translation becomes a powerful tool of communication that acts as a bridge that connects languages, cultures, and people. A translator plays an important role in the field of communication since he/she should be able to convey written information in another language preserving the original meaning of the author and at the same time to make it understandable. During the translation process, the translator has to take into account important aspects such as the lexicon, the grammatical structures of both languages, and the cultural context of the source language text. He/she has to analyze the source text in order to determine its meaning, and then reconstruct this same meaning using the lexicon and grammatical structures which are appropriate in the target language and its cultural context.
